A refreshing and delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with a variety of meals. Preparation Time: 15 minutes + marinating time
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 4-5 cucumbers
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dill (fresh or dried)
- 1 onion (thinly sliced)
Instructions:
1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds.
2. Place the sliced cucumbers in a bowl.
3. Prepare the marinade by combining vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Heat the mixture until the sugar and salt dissolve.
4. Pour the hot marinade over the cucumbers and add the sliced onion and dill.
5. Allow the cucumbers to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving, preferably overnight.
