A nutritious and flavorful bread packed with seeds and nuts. Perfect for breakfast or as a snack. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 40-50 minutes
Serving Size: 8 slices
Ingredients:
- ½ dl flaxseed meal
- ½ dl sparkling water (for fluffiness)
- ½ dl hulled sunflower seeds
- ½ dl sesame seeds
- Melted butter or a splash of oil
- 2.5 dl chopped sunflower seeds
- ½ dl ground cashews or other nuts
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 250 g quark or Greek yogurt
- 4 eggs
- 2 dl grated cheese
- ½ tsp salt (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. In a large bowl, mix together the flaxseed meal, sparkling water, hulled sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, chopped sunflower seeds, and ground nuts.
3. Add the baking powder, quark or yogurt, eggs, and grated cheese. Mix well until you have a smooth batter.
4. Stir in the melted butter or oil until fully combined.
5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
6. Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
7. Let it cool for a moment before removing from the pan.
8. Slice and enjoy!
