This delicious Christmas roast combines flavorful ingredients and offers a perfect meal for your holiday table.

Serving Size: 6-8

Ingredients:

- 1 kg beef tenderloin or roast
- 2 tbsp flour (mixed with a small amount of water)
- 2-3 dl water (depending on the size of the roasting pan)
- About 10 each of black pepper, white pepper, and allspice
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1-2 carrots
- 0.5-1 can cream (real)
- Sea salt to taste
- 1-2 onions or shallots
- A small piece of rutabaga (if needed)
- Fat for frying

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. Season the roast with salt and pepper. Heat fat in a frying pan and brown the roast on all sides.
3. Transfer the roast to a baking dish. Add chopped onions, garlic, and carrots to the pan. Sauté briefly.
4. Add water to the pan and pour it over the roast. Add rutabaga if using.
5. Cover the dish with foil and roast in the oven for about 1.5 hours or until the meat is cooked through.
6. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
7. Mix the flour-water mixture with the cream and add it to the sauce. Heat and stir until the sauce thickens.
8. Serve the roast sliced with the sauce.
