Ingredients:
Meatballs:- 400 g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 2 dl water
- 2 tbsp onion mix (like Prima)
- 2 tbsp Poppamies Mexican rub seasoning
Mashed Potatoes:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1-2 dl milk
- Chili flakes to taste
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meatballs:- Soak the breadcrumbs in water for about 6 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, spices, and egg. Mix well until the mixture is uniform.
- Wet your hands with cold water and shape small round meatballs, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs at 200°C for about 15 minutes, until they are nicely browned.
2. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- Peel and boil the potatoes until slightly overcooked.
- Drain the water and add butter and milk to the potatoes. Mash until smooth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Garnish the surface of the mashed potatoes with additional chili flakes.
