A delicious sourdough bread inspired by the skills of Elina Rantanen from Mathildedali village. Bake this bread at home and enjoy its freshness!
Preparation Time: 24 hours (includes rising time)
Serving Size: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 300 ml water
- 100 g sourdough starter (homemade or store-bought)
- 10 g salt
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt.
2. Add water and sourdough starter to the flour mixture. Stir until a smooth dough forms.
3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rest at room temperature for about 12 hours.
4. Once the dough has risen, knead it for a few minutes.
5. Shape the dough into your desired loaf shape and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rise for another 2-3 hours.
7. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F) and place a baking stone or baking sheet inside.
8. Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
9. Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before serving.
