Sweet and delicious matcha meringues shaped like Christmas trees, perfect for festive treats. Easy to prepare and beautiful to serve.

Serving Size: about 12 pieces

Ingredients:

- 3 egg whites
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Icing sugar for decoration

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 90°C (194°F) (convection).
2. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until they start to foam.
3. Add a pinch of salt and continue whisking until the egg whites form soft peaks.
4. Gradually add the sugar while whisking, until the mixture is glossy and holds stiff peaks.
5. Gently fold in the matcha powder and vanilla sugar.
6. Transfer the meringue mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
7. Pipe small tree-shaped swirls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, or until the meringues are dry.
9. Allow to cool before serving and dust with icing sugar.
