Ingredients:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release their juices.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the tomato mixture. Mix well to combine.
5. Add the torn basil leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently to incorporate.
6. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
