Ingredients:

- 500 g fresh salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl finely chopped fresh dill
- 1 tbsp cognac (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix together salt, sugar, and black pepper.
2. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on a plate.
3. Evenly sprinkle the salt-sugar mixture over the salmon.
4. Add the chopped dill, cognac, and lemon juice on top of the salmon.
5. Cover the salmon with plastic wrap and refrigerate to marinate for at least 24 hours.
6. Once marinated, slice the salmon thinly lengthwise.
7. Serve the salmon with rye bread or a salad.
