A spicy and sweet popcorn delight that adds flavor to your Halloween celebration! This treat combines hot sauce and butter into a heavenly mixture, giving the popcorn a unique taste. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 100 g popcorn kernels - 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 dl sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Instructions:
1. Prepare the popcorn by air popping or cooking it in a pot until all kernels have popped. Transfer to a large bowl. 2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the sugar and stir until the mixture bubbles.
3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the hot sauce, salt, and baking soda. Stir well until the mixture froths.
4. Pour the hot mixture over the popcorn and quickly toss to coat all the popcorn evenly.
5. Spread the popcorn on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 120°C (250°F) for about 15-20 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
6. Allow the popcorn to cool before serving. It will harden as it cools.
