A healthy and delicious macaroni vegetable bake that is a perfect favorite for kids. This dish is an affordable option and is easy to prepare!

Ingredients:
- 250 g whole wheat macaroni
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 celery root
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 2 dl cream
- 400 g ground beef or chicken
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl chopped basil
- Mineral salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and grate the carrots and celery root.
3. Heat a splash of oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the chopped onion, grated carrots, and grated celery root. Sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables soften slightly.
4. Soak the breadcrumbs in the cream for about five minutes.
5. In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, onion-vegetable mixture, soaked breadcrumbs, ground meat, and eggs. Season the mixture with chopped basil, mineral salt, and black pepper to taste.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined baking dish.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for approximately 45 minutes.
8. Remove the bake from the dish and serve with cooked vegetables, (grated) salad, pickles, and marinated beetroot.
