A traditional Finnish Easter dessert with a unique flavor.
Preparation Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 250 g mämmi
- 1-2 dl syrup
- 250 g malt
- ½ dl sugar
- 1 dl water
- 2 tbsp ground orange peel
- 400-500 g rye flour
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Heat the water until it is bubbling.
2. Mix the malt and rye flour into the water until well combined.
3. Sprinkle a little rye flour on top of the mixture.
4. Cover the pot with a lid and let it rest in a warm place for 1½ to 2 hours.
