Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 dl milk
- 1 dl Christmas spice mix (cinnamon, ginger, cloves)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 g nuts (e.g., walnuts or hazelnuts)
- 150 g dried fruits (e.g., apricots, raisins)
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Stir in the milk until combined.
5. In another bowl, mix the flour, Christmas spice mix, and baking powder.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until smooth.
7. Fold in the nuts and dried fruits.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake in the oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before transferring to a serving plate.
11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
