A delightful and delicious Christmas ice cream cake that brings festive cheer to your table. Easy to prepare in advance and serve to your guests! Preparation time: 30 minutes + freezing
Serving size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 liter vanilla ice cream
- 1 liter chocolate ice cream
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 100 g crushed gingerbread cookies
- 100 g berries (e.g. lingonberries or cranberries)
- 100 g dark chocolate (grated)
- 100 ml chocolate sauce (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Allow the ice creams to soften slightly at room temperature.
2. Grease a cake pan or line it with plastic wrap for easy removal.
3. Spread the vanilla ice cream evenly at the bottom of the pan. Freeze for about 30 minutes.
4. Next, add the chocolate ice cream on top of the vanilla layer and smooth the surface. Freeze again for 30 minutes.
5. Whip the cream lightly and fold in the crushed gingerbread cookies and berries.
6. Spread the gingerbread cream mixture over the ice cream and smooth the surface. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
7. Invert the cake onto a serving platter and decorate with grated chocolate and chocolate sauce before serving.
