Xmas Burger

A festive twist on a classic burger, featuring a spiced glögg sauce and fresh ingredients. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 3 dl red wine - 1 dl dried cranberries
- ½ dl raisins
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 6 cloves
- ½-1 red chili, finely chopped
- Zest of 1 orange
- 500 g organic ground beef
- Salt & black pepper
- Butter for frying
- 1 orange
- Slices of strong cheddar cheese
- Arugula
- 4 gluten-free buns
Instructions:
1. Prepare the glögg sauce: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes. Blend slightly with an immersion blender, but leave it chunky. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. 2. Shape the ground beef into four patties.
3. Fry the patties in butter to your desired doneness, seasoning generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
4. Peel the orange and slice it.
5. Assemble the burgers: Place arugula on the bottom of each bun, followed by a patty, a slice of cheddar, an orange slice, and finish with the glögg sauce.
6. Top with the bun lid and serve with sweet potato wedges.
