Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta of your choice (e.g., fettuccine, penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 oz (340 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and browned.
4. Reduce the heat to low, then add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
