Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 ready-made pie crust - 3 large onions
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 200 g anchovies
- 100 g black olives (e.g., Kalamata)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the onions thinly. 2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the onions. Sauté the onions for about 15-20 minutes until they are soft and golden brown.
3. Add thyme, salt, and pepper to the pan. Mix well.
4. Spread the onion mixture evenly over the pie crust.
5. Arrange the anchovies on top of the onion mixture in your desired pattern.
6. Halve the black olives and sprinkle them over the anchovies.
7. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 200°C (about 400°F) for approximately 25-30 minutes until the pie is beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
