Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
5. Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt into the mixture. Gently fold until combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is set. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream.
