Description: A refreshing and lightly hopped lager, perfect for summer days or barbecue parties. This beer is an ideal choice to enjoy with friends. Preparation Time: 2 weeks (including fermentation)
Serving Size: 20 liters
Ingredients:
- 5 kg Pilsner malt - 0.5 kg Caramel malt
- 50 g Saaz hops (bitter hops)
- 30 g Cascade hops (aroma hops)
- 1 packet American Ale yeast
- 20 liters water
- 1 tsp brewing sugar (for bottling)
Instructions:
1. Heat approximately 12 liters of water to 70°C and add the malts. 2. Allow the malts to steep for 60 minutes, maintaining a temperature of 65–70°C.
3. Strain the liquid and boil it in a kettle, adding the bitter hops at the beginning of the boil and the aroma hops during the last 10 minutes.
4. Rapidly cool the mixture to about 20°C.
5. Pour the mixture into a fermentation vessel and add the yeast.
6. Allow it to ferment for 2 weeks at room temperature.
7. Bottle the beer, adding sugar for carbonation, and let it mature for an additional 2 weeks before enjoying.
