A spicy and delicious warm beverage that combines almond milk, fresh rosemary, and spices, making it a perfect soul warmer for winter afternoons. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 1 serving
Ingredients:
- 250 ml almond milk (thick homemade is best)
- A sprig of fresh rosemary
- 1/3 vanilla bean
- 1 cinnamon stick
- A generous grind of black pepper or 4 whole peppercorns
- A pinch of ground nutmeg
- A dash of cardamom
- Just under 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
- Sweetener to taste
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, except for the coconut oil and sweetener.
2. Simmer the mixture over low heat for about 10 minutes.
3. Remove the sprig of rosemary, cinnamon stick, and vanilla bean.
4. Whisk in the coconut oil and sweetener, such as honey, if desired.
5. Strain through a sieve into a cup and serve immediately.
