Ingredients:
- 1 small cauliflower
- 7 cups milk
- Salt to taste
- 5 cups (about 250 g) macaroni
- 1 liter water
- 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)
- 1 cup milk (for the sauce)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Boil the macaroni in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Chop the cauliflower and boil it separately in boiling water for about 5-7 minutes, until tender. Drain and reserve the cooking water.
3. Prepare the cheese sauce: Heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan. Stir in the all-purpose flour and mix well until smooth.
4. Gradually add 6 cups of milk, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Season with salt.
5. Combine the cooked macaroni and cauliflower with the cheese sauce. Serve immediately.
