Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave. Mix well.
3. Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate and butter mixture until smooth.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gently mix until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25–30 minutes. The cake is done when the edges are firm but the center is slightly soft.
8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream.
