A delightful gingerbread recipe that brings the Christmas spirit into your kitchen. Preparation time: 1 hour
Serving size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 7 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl almond flour
- 1 egg
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add sugar and syrup. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the spices, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and almond flour to the mixture. Stir until smooth.
4. Incorporate the egg and knead the dough until it is elastic.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
7. Roll out the dough to a thin sheet and cut out gingerbread shapes using cookie cutters.
8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
9. Allow the gingerbread cookies to cool before decorating.
