A delicious cake combining sweet caramel and tart lingonberries.
Preparation time: 1 hour + cooling time
Serving size: 8
Ingredients
- 1 dl lingonberries
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 200 g plain cream cheese
- 2 dl brown sugar
- 1 cake base
- Whipped cream for decoration
Instructions
1. Cut the cooled cake base into three layers. Soak the layers with juice, soda, or milk.
2. Whip 2 dl of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Sweeten with sugar or powdered sugar if desired.
3. Mix the whipped cream with the cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth.
4. Spread the filling over the first layer of the cake base. Sprinkle some lingonberries on top.
5. Add the next layer of the cake base and repeat the filling process.
6. Cover the last layer with filling and decorate with whipped cream.
7. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
