A delicious ham pie, perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 package ready-made pastry (frozen, 230 g)
- 1 package smoked ham strips
- 1 package cream cheese, such as African paprika (or 2 dl sour cream)
- 4 pieces sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 egg
- ~2 dl grated cheese (e.g., Emmental)
- A splash of milk (about ½ dl, or water can be used)
- Black pepper to taste
- Thyme to taste
Instructions:
1. Thaw the pastry according to package instructions.
2. Line a pie dish with parchment paper.
3. Roll out the pastry and transfer it to the dish, covering the edges.
4. Evenly spread the smoked ham strips on top of the pastry.
5. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, egg, grated cheese, milk, black pepper, and thyme.
6. Pour the mixture over the ham strips.
7. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
