These delicious Chinese burgers are made with steamed buns and slow-cooked meat in a flavorful broth. Although the recipe is a bit labor-intensive, the end result is worth the effort. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 500 g beef
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cm ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 4 steamed buns (bao)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cut the beef into small pieces and place it in a pot.
2. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, crushed garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Simmer the beef on low heat for about 1.5 hours until tender.
4. Steam the buns according to package instructions while the meat is nearly done.
5. Once the meat is ready, stir in the chopped green onions.
6. Fill the steamed buns with the meat mixture and garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro leaves.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
