Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour - 1 1/4 cups liquid margarine
- 3.5 oz rye flakes
- 1 tablespoon frozen cranberries or lingonberries
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). 2. Line a metal baking dish (20x26 cm) with parchment paper.
3. In a bowl, mix the rye flakes, sugar, and all-purpose flour, ensuring the baking soda is well incorporated.
4. Gently fold in the frozen berries and the lightly beaten egg.
5. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the surface.
7. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
