A delicious and tangy cranberry jam that pairs perfectly with meats.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: Makes about 2 cups
Ingredients:
- 300 g cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 150 g sugar
- 1 dl water
- Zest of 1 orange
- (Optional) 1-2 apples, diced
Instructions:
1. Rinse the cranberries and place them in a saucepan.
2. Add the sugar and water to the saucepan with the cranberries.
3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
4. Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, until the cranberries soften and the mixture thickens.
5. Stir in the orange zest and mix well.
6. If using apples, add the diced apples and cook for a few more minutes until the apples are tender.
7. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the jam cool.
8. Serve chilled with chicken, turkey, or pork. Enjoy!
