A zesty and berry sauce that pairs perfectly with chicken, turkey, ham, or even desserts. Preparation time is about 15 minutes, and it serves 4-6. Ingredients:
- 2 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen) - 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, honey (or sweetener), and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture starts to boil. 2. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until fully dissolved.
3. Add the cornstarch mixture to the cranberry mixture and stir well. Allow to boil for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix again. Remove the saucepan from heat.
5. Serve warm or chilled with your favorite dish.
