Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
5. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the chocolate mixture, alternating with the milk, and stir until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
