A refreshing and lightly hopped pale ale, perfect for beer moments. Its flavor profile transports you to the vibes of Kakola. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg pale ale malt - 0.5 kg caramel malt
- 30 g hops (e.g., Cascade)
- 10 g hops (e.g., Saaz)
- 1 packet of beer yeast
- 10 liters of water
- 1 tsp sugar (for bottling)
Instructions:
1. Heat the water in a pot to 70°C (158°F). 2. Add the pale ale malt and caramel malt to the water. Let the mixture steep for 60 minutes.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil and add 30 g of hops. Boil for 60 minutes.
4. Add 10 g of hops in the last five minutes of the boil.
5. Quickly cool the beer and transfer it to a fermentation vessel.
6. Add the beer yeast and seal the vessel tightly.
7. Allow it to ferment at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks.
8. Bottle the beer with sugar and let it mature for another 2-3 weeks before enjoying.
