- 500 g ground meat (beef or chicken) - 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar)
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 head of lettuce, torn
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- Ketchup and mustard to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Heat a pan or grill over medium heat and add oil. 2. Shape the ground meat into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Cook the patties in the pan or on the grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
4. Add cheese slices on top of the patties towards the end of cooking so the cheese melts.
5. Lightly toast the buns in the pan or on the grill until golden brown.
6. Assemble the burgers: Place lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the cheese-topped patty, tomato slice, and red onion. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.
7. Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
