A classic Italian dish, Pasta Carbonara is a creamy and flavorful combination of spaghetti, pancetta, and cheese that is quick to prepare and sure to impress.
Ingredients:
- 200 g spaghetti
- 100 g pancetta or bacon
- 2 large eggs
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Be careful not to overcook.
2. Meanwhile, fry the pancetta or bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for another minute.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve a bit of the cooking water. Add the pasta to the pan with the pancetta and garlic.
5. Remove the pan from heat and mix the pasta with the egg mixture. Add reserved cooking water as needed to create a creamy sauce.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese on top.
