Delicious Pasta Carbonara

Ingredients:
- 200 g pasta (e.g. spaghetti)
- 100 g bacon or pancetta
- 2 eggs
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. In a pan over medium heat, cook the bacon or pancetta until crispy. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
3. In a bowl, crack the eggs and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the bacon and mix well. Remove the pan from the heat.
5. Quickly pour the egg mixture over the pasta and stir to combine, allowing the heat from the pasta to cook the eggs without scrambling them. Add reserved cooking water as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
6. Serve immediately and garnish with fresh herbs. Enjoy!
