Ingredients:

- 1-2 tsp ginger
- 400 g margarine
- 2 tbsp water or cream
- 3 dl syrup
- 0.9-1 kg gluten-free flour blend (16-17 dl)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 200 g sugar (about 2.2 dl)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp cloves

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, bring syrup, margarine, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and baking soda to a boil. Stir carefully to avoid burning.
2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
3. Add sugar and eggs to the cooled mixture. Mix well.
4. Gradually incorporate the gluten-free flour blend, mixing until the dough is smooth.
5. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick and cut into desired shapes.
7. Bake the cookies at 180°C (350°F) for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
8. Allow the cookies to cool before decorating.
