A delicious homemade crispbread perfect for your Christmas cheese platter. This crunchy bread also makes a wonderful food gift. Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serving Size: 10 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 dl water - 1 dl rapeseed oil
- 1 dl syrup
- 5 dl rye flour
- 3 dl wheat flour
- 1 dl oats
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp fennel seeds (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C for fan ovens).2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
3. Add the water, rapeseed oil, and syrup to the dry ingredients. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
4. Roll out the dough on a baking paper into a thin sheet.
5. Cut the dough into desired sizes or squares.
6. Transfer the pieces to a baking tray and bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown.
7. Allow to cool on a rack before serving.
