Soft and crispy Christmas cookies resembling American cookies. The combination of chocolate and salt makes these cookies a delightful holiday treat. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: About 20 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 g dark chocolate (chopped)
- Salt (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.2. In a bowl, whisk together the sugars and egg until light and fluffy.
3. Add the melted butter and vanilla sugar to the mixture, and mix well.
4. Combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder, then gradually add it to the dough.
5. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate and mix until well combined.
6. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them as the cookies will spread while baking.
7. Sprinkle a little salt on top of each cookie.
8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are beautifully golden brown.
9. Allow to cool before serving.
