Start your day with a delicious breakfast pizza featuring a rustic crust and a tasty tahini filling. This recipe is a perfect way to enjoy pizza for breakfast. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 2 pizzas
Ingredients:
- 2 dl whole wheat flour - 1 dl water
- 1/2 dl tahini
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 dl tomato sauce
- 1 dl shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or gouda)
- Fresh vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, tomatoes, onions)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., basil or parsley)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, honey, and olive oil. 2. Gradually add water to the mixture and knead until you achieve a soft and elastic dough.
3. Divide the dough into two portions and roll them into round pizza bases.
4. Bake the pizza bases in the oven at 220°C (428°F) for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
5. Remove the bases from the oven and spread tomato sauce on top.
6. Evenly distribute tahini over the tomato sauce, then sprinkle cheese and vegetables on top.
7. Bake the pizza again for 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the surface is beautifully golden brown.
8. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
