Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave. Allow to cool slightly.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, mixing gently.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is set.
7. Let the cake cool before serving. You can dust it with powdered sugar or top it with chocolate frosting if desired.
