A delightful Christmas tart recipe that combines the flavors of almond paste and ginger spread. These tartlets are easy to make and pair wonderfully with mulled wine. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12 tartlets
Ingredients:
- 1 package of ready-made puff pastry
- 200 g almond paste
- 100 g ginger spread
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares (about 10 cm x 10 cm).
3. Grate the almond paste coarsely and mix it with the ginger spread.
4. Place about a teaspoon of filling in the center of each square.
5. Fold the corners toward the center and pinch them tightly to seal.
6. Brush the tartlets with beaten egg.
7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the tartlets are golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
