Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 200 g fondant
- Food coloring (your choice)
- Decorations (e.g., edible flowers, sprinkles)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake in the oven for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Allow the cake to cool completely before decorating.
8. Roll out the fondant into a thin sheet and color it with food coloring as desired.
9. Cover the cooled cake with the fondant and decorate as you like.
