Ingredients:
- 1 package of ready-made pastry dough (e.g., puff pastry)
- 200 g plum jam (or any preferred jam)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Roll out the pastry dough into a thin sheet and cut it into squares (about 10x10 cm).
3. Make cuts along the edges of each square, but do not cut all the way through.
4. Place a spoonful of plum jam in the center of each square.
5. Fold the cut edges towards the center to create a frame around the filling.
6. Brush the pastries with the beaten egg.
7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the pastries are golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
