A delicious gingerbread dough perfect for holiday baking. Prepare it in advance to enjoy the festive scents and atmosphere! Preparation Time: 1 hour + chilling time
Serving Size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dl cream
- 10 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the sugar, syrup, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and heat until the mixture is smooth. 2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the cream.
3. Gradually add the flour to the dough until well combined and a soft dough forms.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
5. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and cut out shapes for the gingerbread cookies.
6. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, until they are golden brown. Allow to cool before decorating.
