Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens).
2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. Stir until well combined and smooth.
3. Allow the chocolate mixture to cool slightly, then add the sugar and mix well.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
5. Sift in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Stir until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is firm but the center is still slightly moist.
8. Let the cake cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
