A delicious meatloaf that combines grated beetroot and Emmental cheese, creating a tasty and nutritious meal. Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups grated beetroot (canned) - 1 ¼ cups mild grated Emmental cheese
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper to make the meatloaf mixture.2. Grate the beetroot and Emmental cheese.
3. Spread the meatloaf mixture onto a greased sheet of parchment paper.
4. Add the grated beetroot and cheese on top of the meat mixture.
5. Roll the meatloaf tightly using the parchment paper, similar to rolling a jelly roll.
6. Place the rolled meatloaf onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour, until the meatloaf is cooked through and golden brown.
