A heavenly chocolate mud cake that is perfectly moist and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The caramel and sea salt make this treat irresistible!

Ingredients:

- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 2 dl sugar
- 3 dl eggs (about 4-5 eggs)
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt

Caramel:

- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl heavy cream
- 50 g butter
- 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
3. Add sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
5. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and salt until combined into a smooth batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the surface is set but still moist inside.
7. To make the caramel: melt sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown. Carefully add cream while stirring. Add butter and sea salt. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
8. Allow the mud cake to cool slightly before serving. Pour the caramel over the cake and sprinkle with sea salt.
