- 1.25 dl milk
- 0.6 dl sugar
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs (from free-range chickens)
- 0.5 dl wheat germ
- 7 dl all-purpose flour
- 25 g butter (melted)
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 dl caramel sauce (for topping)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and mix in the sugar and salt.
2. Add the eggs and wheat germ to the milk mixture and stir well.
3. Combine the dry yeast with the flour and gradually add it to the dough.
4. Add the melted butter and knead the dough until it is elastic and smooth.
5. Allow the dough to rise under a cloth in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet and cut it into appropriate pieces.
7. Shape the pieces into buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Let the buns rise for another 15-20 minutes.
9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20-25 minutes, until the buns are golden brown.
10. Drizzle caramel sauce over the buns before serving.
