A classic Italian pasta carbonara that is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200 g spaghetti pasta - 100 g bacon or guanciale
- 2 eggs
- 50 g Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 ml cream (optional)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. 2. Chop bacon or guanciale into small pieces and fry in a pan over medium heat until crispy.
3. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for another minute.
4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and grated Parmesan cheese. Add cream if using.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve a little cooking water.
6. Toss the hot pasta with the bacon and garlic in the pan. Remove the pan from heat.
7. Pour the egg mixture over the pasta and quickly stir to cook the eggs with the residual heat, creating a creamy sauce. Add reserved cooking water if the sauce is too thick.
8. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately with fresh parsley on top.
