- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the sauce, ensuring it is evenly coated.
