Easy Pasta Carbonara
recipe

A classic Italian dish that comes together quickly and easily, combining pasta, eggs, and bacon into a delicious meal.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g spaghetti
- 150 g bacon or guanciale
- 3 eggs
- 100 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Black pepper (freshly ground)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it in a pan until golden brown. Add the crushed garlic cloves to the pan and sauté for a moment.
3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it, reserving a bit of the cooking water. Add the pasta to the pan with the bacon and garlic.
5. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the egg mixture over the pasta. Stir quickly to ensure the eggs do not scramble but create a creamy sauce. Add a bit of the reserved cooking water if needed for a smoother consistency.
6. Serve immediately topped with extra grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
