A delicious twist on classic French fries inspired by the Helsinki restaurant Grön. Preparation time: 30 minutes. Serves: 4.
Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin sticks.
2. Rinse the potatoes in cold water and dry them thoroughly.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
4. Add the potatoes to the pan and fry for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
5. Season the potatoes with salt, black pepper, chopped herbs, and garlic. Mix well.
6. Fry for a few more minutes until the garlic is cooked.
7. Remove the pan from heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
8. Serve immediately while hot.
